Terms and conditions of sale and purchase agreements
We only accept credit card payments on the web shop of the Royal Danish Academy of Sciences and Letters (also referred to as “the Royal Academy” in this text). Should you not be able to use this payment method, we kindly ask that you contact the secretariat of the Royal Academy by telephone or e-mail. All necessary contact information can be found on the Royal Academy’s web shop by clicking on the tab that reads “Contact”.
When you buy an item on the Royal Academy’s web shop, we will charge the money from the credit card used to make the purchase after the order has been shipped.
Orders will be shipped within 1-5 working days. The packing material used for wrapping standard size parcels are bubble wrap and cardboard boxes. This is to prevent any damaging of the purchased item(s) that may be caused during the shipping of the parcel(s). In a few cases (if the purchased item(s) is very small and/or is very light) the item(s) can be shipped in a Jiffy bag. As a rule, the Royal Academy uses Postnord (https://www.postnord.dk) for most shipping. However, this can vary from country to country.
In addition to the price of the purchased item(s), we (the The Royal Academy) will also charge you for the shipping of the parcel(s). The price of the shipping depends on 1) the weight of the parcel, 2) the country to which the parcel(s) is/are to be delivered, and 3) choice of delivery option (if more than one choice is available when purchasing the item(s)). All shipping prices (of available shipping options) offered on the web shop will be displayed before the customer completes a purchase.
Should you wish to file a complaint concerning the item(s), the web shop etc., you are welcome to contact the secretariat of the Royal Academy by telephone or e-mail. All necessary contact information can be found on the Royal Academy’s web shop by clicking on the tab that reads “Contact”. Furthermore, you can also contact the Consumer Complaints (Danish: Forbrugerklagenævnet). See https://www.forbrug.dk/artikler/forbrug/dine-klagemuligheder/oversigt-over-klageinstanser/forbrugerklagesystemet/forbrugerklagenaevnet/ for more information.
The rules of the Danish Sale of Goods Act regarding flaws and defects are applicable.

The following text is translated from a Danish text on right of cancellation called ”Standardvejledning om fortrydelsesret ved aftaler indgået uden for den erhvervsdrivendes forretningssted og ved aftaler om fjernsalg af varer og ikkefinansielle tjenesteydelser” which can be found on https://www.retsinformation.dk/Forms/r0710.aspx?id=160666#Bil1. The standard form regarding the right of cancellation (Danish title: ”Standardfortrydelsesformular”) is also copied from this same text. Both are copied on the 27th of March 2018, and both have been translated into English on the 8th of May 2018.
The version of the text used on this website has been adjusted to fit the web shop of the Royal Academy which is exclusively concerned with distance selling. All such textual adjustments are emphasized by using – except in the Standard Form regarding the right of cancellation in which do not signify any textual adjustments made by the Royal Academy (besides translation of the full text).

We will make any such refund with the same means of payment as you have used at the original transaction unless you explicitly have agreed to something else.
