About the Academy's publishing house

The Danish Royal Academy has been publishing scientific monographs and preceedings since 1745. All manuscripts are peer reviewed. At present, the Academy publishes within four series:

Subjects: botany, zoology, paleontology, general biology.

Scientia Danica. Series H, Humanistica, 4

(Former Historisk-filosofiske Skrifter) · ISSN 1904-5506

Subjects: History, philosophy, philology, archaeology and art history.
This series is in quarterformat (26x21 cm) and is often used for illustrated works.

 

Scientia Danica. Series H, Humanistica, 8

(Former Historisk-filosofiske Meddelelser) · ISSN 1904-5492

Subjects: History, philosophy, philology, archaeology and art history.
This series er in octaveformat (23x15 cm) and is often used for works dominated by text.

 

Scientia Danica. Series M, Mathematica et physica

(Former Matematisk-fysiske Meddelelser) · ISSN 1904-5514

Subjects: mathematics, physics, chemistry, astronomi and geology.

Every time the Royal Academy publishes a book, it is bound in leather and added to the Academy's own private book collection.
